KarmaFashionPolice
the hidden explanation?

According to my previous sources (as both Lexi and Cara Santos have deactivated their Facebook accounts, forgive the lack of screencaps this time), Lexi felt like “such an epal to their circle of always featured bloggers” (near verbatim). This “new” inbox conversation from September 2010, still between Lexi and Cara, took place after a Candy magazine shoot held in the same month. The editorial, which appeared in the December 2010 issue of the said magazine, featured fashion bloggers including Lexi, Lissa Kahayon, Tricia Gosingtian, Laureen Uy, Camille Co, and Rosanna Aranaz. Lexi’s “epal” statement at the time was to lament the fact that Tricia Gosingtian failed to mention her (Lexi) as one of the featured bloggers when the Tumblr superstar blogged about the pictorial. See Tricia’s blog entry here. Alas, Lexi’s worries disappeared after she received more popularity due to features and fashion shows from the likes of Candy, Candie’s, Style Bible, Chalk, MYX, etc. Did the fame go to her head and ignite her hating spree?

Insecurity? Jealousy? Whatever her reason is/was, Lexi’s unabashed behavior is inexcusable. It is true that we all gossip. But in a situation as delicate as her’s, she is just one thing: a two-faced faker. She was sweet and supportive to the faces of those involved when she had other opinions. Was this her way of “climbing to the top”? Maybe she was giving her ordinary friends a generous glimpse into the exclusive circle of fashion bloggers?

To address everyone defending her by defending the privacy of the leaked messages, I refer you to two statements from JL Ladrido and Lissa Kahayon:

I guess this is a learning experience for everyone… It’s natural to talk about other people, I’m not going to pretend by saying I don’t gossip about others because I DO. It’s a natural thing to do and let’s admit it, it can be kind of fun right?… Especially when we do it with our friends. The thing is, while you are entitled to your own opinion and entitled to pick your own side, it doesn’t mean that you have to be mean about it and go on a hating spree. It doesn’t mean that you endlessly curse, make fun and call other people names. Also, before doing anything, ALWAYS be prepared for the consequences of your actions. - Lissa Kahayon

Thanks KarmaFashPolice for getting the truth out there. I guess we just all have to know who to really trust…at least we know. For the record, i thinkKarmaFashPolice did us service, the ugly truth is better than a best dressed lie. - JL Ladrido

her confession.

Thank you for posting her confirmation/confession online, JL. I echo your sentiments, especially this tweet:

I feel the apology was for the fact that things were released to the public. The reason behind the hatred & bashing, were never accounted for - @joannaladrido

A full screen cap from her friend’s account. Note the current time in relation to the time of the messages. Chronological? Check! Fake? Not a chance.

Posting the screen cap in case she takes the easy way out and denies this..
